We have SC833T-R760B chassis. One of the three power supplies (PWS-0050-M) has a green LED blinking. The other two PS are OK (the green LED is ON). What does the blinking LED mean? Why the server is turning off? How can we identify the problem?
The LED blinking may indicate this power defective. You may try to pull out this defective power to see what happening. If identify the issue with the "alternate LED from continuous GREEN to OFF and BEEP" symptom then it is possible that the power supply module has failed. Supermicro warranty policy will cover if the unit does fail within warranty. Please fill out the RMA request form from this link below for replacement or call 1-408-503-8000 then press 4.
