I have the SATA disks connected at SATA ports, How to check the disk status(good or bad) from RedHat?

Answer
Use ‘smartctl -ad ata /dev/sda’ and then ‘printf $?’commands, you can see the number, if it is not ‘0’(zero) then you need to check.
* Please see the smartctl manual by using ‘man startctl’ and find “RETURN VALUES”
