I have a new motherboard X9SCL with OS WinXP Pro, but I'm not able to set an AHCI mode. Why?

Answer
The WinXP Pro allows to set IDE enhanced mode only. Windows OS such as Win7 SP1-32bit and Window Vista Ultimate-32Bit allow to set AHCI mode.
