We have a X8DTL-3 motherboard and a 3-ware card. The board keeps trying to boot to the on-board LSI SAS controller. Is there a way to disable the LSI SAS?

Yes, there is a jumper JPS1 in the area of the SAS ports and to the front of the motherboard. Please move the jumper to pins 2,3. This will disable the on-board LSI SAS.
