I'm looking to upgrade to a dual processor workstation. Would I be able to install just one CPU in your Super Workstation 7037A-i to start with? I understand that means losing access to some PCI-e slots; just was curious if it was possible.

Yes can run with single processor install to CPU 1 socket and yes it will not use all PCI-e slots with single processor installed.
