I have a 826E26-R1200UB system with a USAS L8E card in it. The old card you guys use to make had an external port to connect the cable to my JBOD, but this one only has 2 ports inside. In order to connect to the JBOD, I ordered a 0325L-LP SAS extender cable and connect it to the external port and from that connect to the card. On the second port on the card, I connect it to the backplane BPN-SAS2-826EL2. After that, my drives cannot be detected. Isn't this supposed to work with the system?

Answer
You have to connect the 0325L-LP cable from the external port to the inside and connect it directly to the backplane (instead of to the card). Then you connect a cable from the back plane to the add-on card.
