Question
I have Super Micro server 6017R-72RFTP, after installing Windows 2008 R2 OS and updating all drivers the inside Windows OS device manager only sees the two Broadcom 10gb LAN ports but does not see two Intel 1gb LAN ports. As I said, all the drivers had been updated today. Do you have any idea why two Intel LAN ports are not seen by Windows OS?

Answer
Your system configuration must be installed with single processor. In order for Windows OS to recognize two Intel 1gb Lan ports, it is required to have second processor installed because two Intel 1gb LAN ports are directly connect to the second processor. Please refer to the chipset block diagram.
