Supermicro Rolls Out A+ Servers™ Supporting Next-Generation Socket F (1207) AMD Opteron™ Processors
High-Efficiency A+ Server Solutions Boost Performance and Lower Total Cost of Ownership

San Jose, CA, August 15, 2006 - Super Micro Computer, Inc., the leader in high-efficiency servers, chassis and mainboards, today launched its first wave of server solutions optimized for Next-Generation AMD Opteron™ 8000, 2000 and 1000 Series processors . Supermicro's new dual-core processor Socket F (1207) and single-processor Socket AM2 solutions improve energy-efficiency, boost performance and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

"Supermicro's broad line of platforms based on Next-Generation AMD Opteron processors provide the channel with immediate availability of high-end solutions," said Randy Allen, Corporate Vice President, Server and Workstation Division, AMD (NYSE: AMD). "With the industry leadership of AMD64 and the engineering and server leadership of Supermicro, customers of the new A+ server solutions can see enhanced performance and efficiency advantages to meet their compute-intensive needs."

"Supermicro's highly optimized quad Socket F systems in 1U and 4U chassis as well as its optimized dual Socket F systems in 1U chassis are available immediately," said Alex Hsu, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Super Micro Computer, Inc.
