On the X8SIL-F rev 1.02 motherboard, why does the LAN port 2 activity LED turn off a few seconds after being plugged into the power cord (before powering on the system)?

Answer
The LED turns off for a few seconds due to EUP energy saving. If the user does not want this feature, please set the jumper JPSE to "disabled" (pin 2-3). Super Micro has an ECO that changes the default setting to disabled.
