Question
I have an X8DTU-LN4F system with Super doctor installed. i have noticed that after a few hours to days the IPMI sensor readings and Super Doctor Sensor readings are all blank and IPMI cannot be accessed remotely. I have to power cycle the system to recover the system back. How do I solve this issue?

Answer
IPMI and Super doctor both access I2C bus to get sensor information and other details. If both access the Bus at the same time, it will result in bus conflict and ultimately will require a power cycle.

When super doctor is installed, and if IPMI is present, we need to select “Y” for IPMI presence. If this is skipped or not done, SD will access the I2C bus directly. SD at this point does not know if IPMI is present. But when Y is selected SD will access the information through IPMI. This avoids bus conflict.

Please reinstall Super Doctor and select or input IPMI is present and it should solve the issue.
