We have just purchased one CSE-417E16-R1400LPB which as you know contains 3 x backplane BPN-SAS2-216EL.
We have seen that this backplane contains 3 x SFF-8087 connectors? Can you tell us how to connect?

Yes, BPN-SAS2-216EL has 3 connectors J1 (in), J2 (in), J3(out). You can connect J1 to controller, and use J3 to cascade to next backplane. But to have more performance, you can use 3x HBA with 2x ipass connector, and connect both of them to J1 and J2, then you will use 1x HBA for each BPN-SAS2-216EL.
