I have your X8DTN+ motherboard. It boots fine with 6 DIMM per processor, but when the third bank is populated the system will not post. What could be the issue?

Answer
This is normal from using quad rank memory. Intel platforms support to up eight ranks per memory channel. To use all banks you will have to use single or dual rank memory.
