Question
I have the SBI-7126T-T1L blade. Is there a way to query the version of the adaptec driver that is currently installed in CentOS 5.5?

Answer
Please check if the adptahci.ko file exist.

# ls /lib/modules/2.6.xx-xxx.e15.x86_64/kernel/drivers/scsi
(note: Please replace “2.6.xx-xxx.el5.x86_64” with the actual kernel number.)

If yes, you had loaded the driver manually. Please use modinfo to get the driver info:

# modinfo /lib/modules/2.6.xx-xxx.e15.x86_64/kernel/drivers/scsi/adptahci.ko

If the file doesn’t exit, you are using the driver from CentOS 5.5. Find the driver info like below:

# modinfo /lib/modules/2.6.xx-xxx.el5/kernel/drivers/scsi/aacraid/aacraid.ko
