Question
I am logged into the server via SSH. The ipmi service will not start, as per my last email. It seems unable to find the hardware, hence me wondering if it needed a low level driver

Answer
Please make sure you use the latest drivers and not the OS embedded driver. Not all (lan) drivers will support IPMI.
