I have the X8SIL motherboard and wanted to use a DDR3 ECC unbuffered quad rank dimm. Can I use this?

Answer
No this motherboard can only support up to dual rank with DDR3 unbuffered dimms. If you use DDR3 buffered dimms, then you can use Quad rank modules.
