When creating the new managed server in NMView, I entered the IPMI’s IP address of the server to be managed. After clicking OK, NMView couldn’t communicate with the server. What’s the correct port number should I type in?
The default DCM port is the UDP port 623. However, you should enter the IP of the DCM server, instead of the IPMI node. When installing NMView, the software will turn your local management server into a DCM server. You may use its IP here or any other DCM server’s IP in your network. After the managed server is configured, you may create the new node to be managed under it.
