In the BIOS, I have excluded “ALL USB KEY” from the boot order. If I place a USB key into the system and boot, it reappears in the boot order, and “ALL USB KEY” is still present in the excluded items. If “ALL USB KEY” is excluded, why does a physical USB key appear in the boot order? We are testing with a USB KEY: Kingston Data Traveler as it appears in the BIOS.
For safety purposes, the USB boot devices will always go in to the boot BIOS menu. If all static boot devices fail, you can always use a USB stick or hard drive to boot the system, even if it is not possible to go into the BIOS setup anymore. It is not possible to disable this feature. Only when you disable "USB legacy support" or disable USB completely will the USB boot devices not appear in the boot menu anymore. This is standard by most hardware manufactures.
