Our server, which is a Super Server 7045B-TR+B (motherboard X7DBE) is failed to boot with message “Operating System Not Found.” Is appear the OS on RAID5 had failure and it won’t boot into Windows OS. Inside Intel SATA Raid BIOS utility, although its does show the 4 drives but no rebuild option. It only had option to CREATE, DELETE, RESET, or exit. Can you help me how to rebuild and recover data on raid level 5?
Your system build raid level 5 under Intel Codebase firmware and is fail to boot into OS. Since Intel Codebase firmware does not have option to rebuild raid inside the BIOS utility GUI. To rebuild raid level 5 and try to recover the data, the only option is install single IDE hard drive to parallel IDE port and then install new OS and make sure every devices driver install as like new system. Once the OS and Driver install complete and boot into Windows OS on IDE hard drive, install Intel Storage Management utility and from there run Intel Storage Management utility create hot spare and rebuild raid level 5. After raid level 5 had complete rebuild and should boot-up without IDE hard drive install.
