I had enabled the VT-D in X9SCM-F and installed VMWare to it. My VM is Windows 2008 R2. I assigned one of the LAN port to the VM in the physical machine (PM). The LAN port shall bypass the PM to the VM. However, I couldn't find it in the VM. At one point before, I could make it work. Do you know how to make it work again?

The X9SCM-F motherboard has two LAN controllers: Intel® 82579LM and 82574L,. There is no embedded driver in VMWare for the 82579LM. (Yes, the driver in ESX/i is still needed to support the VT-D.) The 82579LM is not in VMWare’s HCL (hardware compatibility list). You might have used the 82574L for your VM before.
