Question
Should the X6DVL-EG support a pair of SL9HB processors? I have two of these machines with 2.8GHZ processors and 8GB of memory each with 2 1TB drives in a raid 0 configuration per machine. One has a pair of Irwindale processors and the other has a pair of Nacona processors. I have 4 SL9HB’s (3.2GHZ) processors that I would like to use to upgrade the two X6DVL-EG boxes.

Answer
Actually this board does not support as 7130 is for MP boards like X6QT8:

Processor/Cache

CPU • Quad 604-pin FC-mPGA4 Sockets
• Supports up to four Intel® 64-bit Xeon® processor(s) of the same type below:
o Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor 7100/7000 Series with 2MB L2 Integrated Advanced Transfer Cache

not for X6D dual CPU boards.
