Question
When I do a reboot from within the operating system (Ubuntu 12.04), the server powers off instead of rebooting. It is happening on multiple new systems we have using this board, and they have the latest ipmi and bios versions already

Do you know how to fix this?

Answer
You have to put the extra line “blacklist mei” into blacklist file under Ubuntu OS 12.04. This will solve start-up or reboot issues.
