We have your X9SCL-F with four of Kingston KVR16R11D8K4/16I DDR3 1600 Registered ECC DIMM. At power on there is no video output and the system provides the "memory error" beep pattern, 5 short 1 long. The memory is a set of 4 DIMMS, and the system should be able to boot with a single DIMM, so I tried only one DIMM at a time in the DIMM2A slot. Each produces the same result, 5 short, 1 long. The IMPI does boot and I can log into it, but it is unable to read any motherboard sensors.
I think the issue is unlikely to be the RAM, unless for some reason the Kingston modules I purchased are incompatible with this motherboard, as all four sticks produce the same results. I'm wondering if the problem is the motherboard or the CPU, but don't know what other troubleshooting I can do to narrow that down, and I'm looking for any assistance you can provide.
