Just got a X9SCM-F board, I am using single Kingston KVR1333D3D4R9S/8G chip. I get a memory error beep code. 5 short, 1 long beeps. The chip is in DIMM2A, as the manual state. This ram matches the specs on the board, should I RMA the board?

No, it is not a problem related to motherboard but the issue relates to memory. The X9SCM-F motherboard does not support registered ECC memory. It only supported Un-buffered ECC or None ECC support.
