When I use the on-board SAS controller of H8QM3-2 MB to install VMware OS, it fails and shows a purple screen. What is the problem and how can I solve it?

One of reasons you might get the purple screen is the use of SR mode with the on-board SAS. You need to use the IT mode for the VMware OS installation. You can flash it to IT mode with this attached FW. If you have any questions about finding the SAS address, please refer to FAQ #9797.
