Question
The Model of Motherboard is X9DRD-7LN4F, and the model of the server is CSE-216-R920LPB. I'm having issues with a heat issue when I put in a PCI-e controller, it starts to overheat. I'm not quite sure if this is due to the server design, but when I move the PCIe controller to a different slot, it helps somehow. Is there a manual or can you guide me through on how to change the cooling fan settings inside the BIOs? Please let me know if there is any information you need regarding this issue.

Answer
Most likely blocking the air flow may cause overheat. Also, you can try to increase Fan setting to full speed under IPMI. You can login IPMI site and select Configuration -> Fan Mode -> Set Fan to Full Speed.
