Question
We use VMware ESXI on all of our servers. Is there any way to access the Built-in LSI Raid controller without rebooting the server?

Answer
To manage the RAID, he can ssh into ESXi and then use storcli command to create/delete/check status.

To enable RAID monitoring, you need to install the SMIS provider.

latest SMIS provider:

storcli: https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/driver/SAS/LSI/Tools/storcli_6.6-1.14.12/Vmware/

We tested with 5.5. We don’t know whether it will work with a higher version.
