Question
We have following configuration:

Motherboard: X7DBE
PCB Revision: 2.0
BIOS Revision: 1.3b
OS: Windows 2008 64 bit-Enterprise, Standard
Memory: 2GB Transcend TS4GFJ3230 x 8
PCI Slot #4: AMCC 9650SE-4LPML

We are trying to install Windows 2008 64 bit on the machine (attempted both Enterprise and Standard). When we are asked for a RAID controller driver, the system returns the following error message in most attempts: “NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error”

In another situation, the system appears to identify the correct driver and goes through the install procedure, but no drives are available.

We already have the 32-bit version of the OS running successfully but want to replace it with the 64-bit version. Our plan is to install the 64-bit version on a different partition and create a multi-boot machine. Then we will move all settings from the 32-bit instance to the new install and delete the old install completely.

Please advise correct procedure to complete the operation.
