Issues occurred while attempting to load Windows Server 2008 R2 on the X8DWN+ motherboard. The OS is being loaded on drives attached to the AOC-USAS-L4i RAID adapter. When I try to do a clean install of 2008 R2, I get the BSOD before it even gets to the first installation question.

The error message is “PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED” with STOP error 0x0000006B.

What is the problem?

Any part of the disk storage system may cause the PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED stop error, including the bad disks, bad cables, mixing drives with incompatible firmware on the same chain, and drives that are not available due to the hardware regeneration. Please also reconnect the cables, delete the RAID array, or low-format the hard disk within RAID BIOS.
