I am looking for information on allowable temperature for the following: MB: X9SCA and Intel Xeon E3-1225 in SC512-200 chassis. The website indicates an operating temp range of 10-35degC. What is the actual maximum allowable temp inside the chassis? I called Tech Support and the response was 40-70degC.

Operating temperature specs are mainly divided into two categories – board level and system level. There is no temperature spec for “inside the chassis”.
For system level, the operating temperatures are from 10 degree C to 35 degree C.
For board level, the operating temperature we validated in the LAB is between 0°C to 50°C for normal server motherboards.
