Question
I have the SC216 chassis / X8DTE-F Motherboard and 2108 Controller. We are receiving log events that show a bad battery:

kernel log messages:
+++ /tmp/security.RqpgL8CK 2012-04-24 03:02:37.000000000 +0000
+mfi0: 83711 (388470459s/0x0008/FATAL) - Battery needs replacement - SOH Bad
+mfi0: 83712 (388470524s/0x0008/FATAL) - Battery needs replacement - SOH Bad

Not sure what “SOH Bad” means? Any ideas here for this log?

Answer
“SOH” means “State of Health.” The error message usually shows up, when the battery can’t be charged correctly or is bad. Please replace the battery.
