Question
I have a problem with PCI-E 16X slot on X9DRD-iF motherboard: OS
installation hangs during loading drivers for RAID Controller if
RAID Controller is inserted in PCI-E 16X slot (CPU2 SLOT6 PCI-E 3.0 X16).

I have 2 Xeon E5-2620 CPUs.

RAID controller is 3ware 9750-4i. I can open Controllers BIOS and
setup RAID array, only OS hangs during loading drivers. I've tried
Centos 5.8 and 6, Debian, Ubuntu and FreeBSD and they all hanged
during loading drivers: it just shows nonsense characters and server
hangs (screnshot is in attachment: OS-installation-hang.jpg). I've
tried also with Windows 2003 server 64 bit R1: it doesn't hang, but
installation cant't find controller after loading drivers.

I updated motherboards and RAID controllers firware and still i
have same problem. I changed almost all options in BIOS and problem is still here.

When i move RAID controller to any other PCI-E slot (including CPU2
SLOT 7), everything is OK and i can install OS so i assume that controller is OK.

Problem is that RAID controller can be only installed in
problematic slot beacause i have CSE-813T-441CB Chassis so RAID
controller fits only in CPU2 SLOT6.
