I am using X9SAE motherboard with an E-3 1275 V2, which includes onboard graphics. That part is working correctly. My problem is I am unable to force the priority of the external (off-CPU) graphics card such that Remote FX GPU acceleration works, which points to an issue with the BIOS.

That is not an option due to chipset limitation support. In order to use third party video card on X9SAE motherboard, you must use E3-1270 series.
