I have X9SCL-F. How does the TPM work? If you open the server shell does it make the hard drive unusable?
Do we have to order a TPM so that if the shell is open it will make the server unusable?
Do you sell a TPM for this motherboard?
What TPM module to use: AOC-TPM-V20-IFN
The TPM is like a key for that system, once your provision (format) is for that motherboard, the system will be accessible and HDD is usable as long as the TPM remains in there.
Once you remove the TPM module, you remove the encryption key, and can no longer access the information on the HDD. This also depends on the OS on the HDD, it has to support TPM encryption and TPM boot.
Keywords: TPM, HDD encryption
