Question
On the Super Server 6016T-T, I found and enabled the RAID option in the BIOS and build it. Then I rebooted the server and installed ESXi 4.0 U1. That went successfully, but once I rebooted, it says it cannot find an operating system or a bootable media. Why won’t it boot into the successful installation of ESXi?

The on-board Intel ICH10R SATA raid controller does not support RAID under VMware ESX 4.0 OS. Intel does not have any RAID driver for VMware. To run VMware OS on the server, you must set it up as non-RAID.
