Question
I just install X8SIL motherboard with Intel Xeon X3430 2.4GHz processor and Kingston KVR133D3S4R9S ram. When power up the machine it had no video display but give a constant beep tone. There is temp LED lit and stay-on solid and no other alternating beeps, just get a solid tone. Tried each stick of memory on their own, same results, there are no other additional pieces of hardware install except processor and memory, with or without memory installed does not make a difference. What might be caused the problem please help.

Answer
With the symptom above maybe cause by CPU heat sink is over torque and too tight or CPU socket had damage pins. Try removed the CPU heat sink and check processor socket make sure there is no pins damage, if the CPU socket had no damage pins then re-install the processor and place CPU heat sink on top of processor first without tight down, power on system board to see it had video display on post, if yes then is solve the issue with beep tone then make sure when heat sink mount is not over torque or too tight. If still had the beep tone then is could be issue relate to processor or motherboard require to RMA return.
