Why does the X8SIL-F motherboard boot up with the Intel Xeon X3470 processor but not with the Intel Core i3-540 processor?

Answer
Please check if your memory is ECC registered. Xeon quad core series processors support both ECC registered and ECC un-buffered memory. Core i3 series dual core series processors only support ECC un-buffered memory.
