Question
I have one of these CPUs (Single Xeon X5470 CPU (SLBBF)) in my X7DAL but power management oes not seem to be working quite right.With bios 2.0B frequency adjusment was not working with EIST or C1E and the bios could not read the CPU temperature.With 2.1a the EIST option does not appear in the bios but according to various utilities in the OS unlike bios 2.0b it is enabled. The CPU frequency does drop to 2GHZ but the voltage does not drop at all and the bios cannot read the CPU temperatures. Is there a bios for the X7DAL-E that properly supports the E0 stepping?

Please update BIOS to latest version from Supermicro website, after finished update please load default and enabled EIST, disabled C1E. thanke
