Question
We have a SuperChasis SC846E2-R900B. We are using MBDX8-DTH-I-O motherboard. Also we have installed an Adaptec ASM-6805 and it is not able to see any of the hard drives we have installed. I troubleshoot by connecting a hard drive directly to the card bypassing the backplane and it worked properly. The backplane status LEDs for each hard drive are off after the initial post. I have confirmed the RAID card is working properly.

This is a SGPIO/12C compatibility issue between the Adaptec ASM-6805 Raid Controller Card and BPN-SAS-846EL2 Backplane; Adaptec is aware of this.
