Question
The server is 1012G-MTF. AMD 8 Core opteron, 16GB of ram, and 4 hard disks. The system powers on without any issues, but after between five to ten minutes regardless of what screen the system is in (BIOS, Raid Manager, Citrix Xen Installer) the monitor I use enters power saving mode. Now if I re-start the system everything comes back, the screen displays data again, and nothing appears out of place until the screen dies again in 5 to ten minutes.

Answer
Use IPMI and video card to check if the screen also disappears after 5 to 10 minutes. If yes, clear CMOS setting.
