Question
We are trying to install Mellanox UFM software on the system 6026TT-HIBQRF . The UFM Server requirements indicate it should run on Mellanox ConnectX-2 hardware with firmware 2.8.0600 and later. I believe this system should have a ConnectX-2 HCA (chip revision B0 visible via either lspci or mstflint), but has an older firmware than that required for UFM (mstflint and ibv_devinfo report 2.7.0). I found https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/Firmware/InfiniBand/X8DTT-(H)IBQ(F)/ and pulled down the ConnectX-2 firmware image (X8DTT-IBQ_20110622_ConnectX-2_291.bin), but mstflint reports a PSID mismatch between the two. Any advice?

Answer
Please add the switch “-nofs -allow_psid_change” into the command. It’s okay to upgrade to fw 2.9.1000 since you have the ConnectX-2 B0 chip.
