Question
We purchased a Systemax PC (running Windows XP Pro 32-bit) from Tigerdirect.com and we cannot seem to get the video working correctly from the PCI-e video card (Nvidia Galaxy Geforce MDTX4 1GB DDR2 64bit Video card). The motherboard is a Supermicro X8DTL-I Dual Xeon Server Motherboard and the version is 1.1b. We have tried to disable the on-board through the device manager and also change the jumper on the motherboard according to the manual. In the bios we have tried to select the internal and external vga and still no video.

Answer
Your Geforce MDTX4 graphic card is PCI-e x16, it will not work with X8DTL-I motherboard since there is no PCI-e x16 slot on it. You may be confused by PCI-e x8 in x16 slot as PCI-e x16, but it is actually PCI-e x8.
