I installed six 2TB SATA hard drives in my server with X7DWA-N motherboard inside. The BIOS only detects three hard drives. Does the motherboard support 2TB SATA hard drive?
1. The onboard Intel ESB2 SATA controller supports the 2TB SATA hard drive. A server-grade hard drive is recommended to use.
2. At least four hard drives can be seen when six hard drives are installed. The missing hard drive usually means the compatibility issue between the hard drive & the RADI controller. Please check if the hard drive firmware is upgradable.
3. The maximum volume size of a single RAID array is 2TB.
4. It supports multiple RAID arrays. The total size can be up to 6TB with three RAID-1 arrays.
5. In compatible mode or enhanced mode with IDE support, only SATA ports #0 to #3 are enabled.
6. In enhanced mode with AHCI or RAID support, all SATA ports #0 to #5 are enabled.
