I have a P4SGA motherboard and it has been running fine for 6 months. In the last few days, it freezes after the boot up memory test even though I do not have any hardware and software changes.

Since there is no hardware and software changes, you may want to power off the system, remove the power cord and clear the CMOS. After that, power on the system and load the optimized defaluts inside BIOS.
