I thought the X8SAX and C7X58 boards supported only Core i7 processors, why does your web site show Xeon 5500 / 3500?
On 3/30/09, Intel launched the Intel® Xeon® processor 5500 series, code name “Nehalem-EP.” The Xeon processor 5500 series supports two QPI links, so it is designed for dual-processor platforms. However, the Xeon processor 5500 series is supported by the X8SAX and C7X58.
The Xeon processor W3500 series is based on the Bloomfield core, and provides ECC memory support. These processors are supported by the X8SAX and C7X58 motherboards.
