Question
We are currently using your X8DTH-6F motherboard in the 825MTQ-R700LPB chassis. We do not have the chassis intrusion jumper connected to any chassis micro switch. We in fact do not want to use the chassis intrusion feature. We have VMware 4.1 deployed on a couple of these servers and are experiencing sporadic chassis intrusion alarms which are reported by the VMware console.
How do we properly disable the chassis intrusion (jumper JL1 on motherboard) so we never get any alerts?

Answer
You have to disable the jumper JL1 on the motherboard (no jumper on JL1).
If it already trigger the Chassis Intrusion Alert before you disable it , you need to clear it out by using IPMI or Super doctor to reset the Chassis intrusion .
