Q6. I need to update the firmware on the SBM-GEM-001 Ethernet switch for the Blade. When I update the switch firmware, does the switch reset or cause any outage at all?

A6. Yes, the switch needs to be restarted after installing the new firmware and this will cause an outage that might last as long as a minute or so.
