On your X9SCA-F motherboard the OS compatibility chart, footnotes EM: does this mean, that SATA ports can be used in non-RAID setup (AHCI) and in case of a RAID setup, drivers for AMD5100 are needed?

Answer
Yes it can use on-board south bridge SATA controller as AHCI for Non-Raid support. But not with AMD SP5100 driver need. The south bridge chipset is Intel PHC and uses Intel driver.
