Question
Board is x8dah+-F. I have purchased the 16GB memory modules hynix hmt42gl7bmr4a-h9 LRDIMMS according to the board compatibility chart but the board beeps with a memory error. I put in regular 4GB DDR3 memory and it boots fine. Please let me know what I need to do to get this working as I need a full 288GB of memory.

LRDIMMs will only work if the board has been flashed with the LRDIMM-enabled BIOS. However, RDIMMs and UDIMMs still work with this BIOS. Please contact Tech Support to get LRDIMM – Enable BIOS.

If the user’s board has the standard BIOS loaded, then you need to use UDIMMs or RDIMMs in the board to boot the system to video and then flash to the LRDIMM-enabled BIOS. After that, you can populate the LRDIMMs. If the user does not have access to UDIMMs or RDIMMs, he will have to RMA the board.
