For this specific 842 chassis, you can actually use either the rev L or M. The rev L has all the mounting hole upgraded already to support socket-2011 board. The rev M is an upgrade to have the air shroud design change to meet the X9 requirement. The 842 doesn’t have the air shroud in it, so both rev L or M will work.
