I was looking at purchasing the SuperServer 1012G-MTF 1U system as an Infiniband Subnet Manager and saw the only expansion port available is PCI-e x16. I'm a little confused on what UIO exactly is. Specifically for the AOC-UIBQ-M2. It says the interface is PCI-e x8 so if I purchase your AOC-UIBQ-M2 card will it work with the 1012G-MTF system?

No, it would not work. It needs special UIO port. The 1012G-MTF does not have such port
